• File Compression •

From time to time you will need to send an example of your project to me for approval when we are online.

Description:
• Convert a Photoshop, Illustrator, or EPS format document into a compressed
JPEG image.

Steps:
1. Open Photoshop.

2. Choose File>Open, find the file you wish to transform, Click Open.

3. If the file is a Vector document, a Rasterize Window will show. Set Mode to RGB,
at 72 ppi and Click OK.

4. Change the image size, and make the file approx. 4 x 5", resolution at 72 ppi.

5. Choose File>Save As... and:
Change the Format to JPEG.

6. When the JPEG Options window opens, set Quality to 5 or Medium. Format
Option to Baseline (“Standard”). This should reduce your file size to about 50K.

7. Once you have made a .jpg, use a compression utility such as WinZip or StuffIt
to compress the .jpg. Then attach to an email and send to me.
