This project would be considered
an intermediate tutorial in Photoshop. It will allow me to get an
overview
of your skill level. Upon completion, you will have the skills to move
on to the Advanced Selecting project. The image for this project
is provided below.
I am looking for a finished image that looks as
close to the example provided as possible.

Basic Instructions:
Make a finished colorized portrait from the image below that looks
as close to the example as possible.
1. Download the image below to
your hard drive. (Click and hold, then save as).
2. View and print the tutorial file from the link
above.
3. Open the image in Photoshop and copy/paste the
image into a new file at 72 ppi.
4. Make sure to change the color mode to RGB before you start.
5. Save the file as a .psd (native photoshop format).
6. Click on the finished portrait example file above to view the finished
product.
7. Experiment with the various techniques explained in the tutorial.
8. When finished save in the .tif format as portrait.tif.
