GRID DESIGN LAYOUT...10 points

The grid system has been used for decades to organize spacial relationships in fine art and graphic design. Designers today use the grid, on a daily basis, to form a more pleasing visual relationship of type and image on the printed page and web page design. Loosely defined, the word "grid" refers to the drawn pattern of lines and coordinates that a designer uses as a framework for a design and its translation to final output.

Click here to download the grid design layout file. The file is set up at 590px wide x 620px tall @ 72ppi. See below for submission requirements.

Project:
Using the file provided above, re-design the the layout into a more organized and pleasing visual arrangement by using a grid design.

Limits:
• You may position the type blocks any way you chose based on your grid layout. Do not enlarge, reduce or skew the type in any way.

• You may change the opacity and the black and white balance of the type blocks. Do not use color, only black and white and shades of gray.

• You may change the size (proportionally), the position and the opacity of the background image. You may change the position, opacity and the black and white balance of the logo image but not the size.

• Readability and legibility is a strong component of the project. Limit your use of drop shadows and filters in Photoshop.

Please Note:
There are 2 versions of the body type included in the download file:
1. Left justified
2. Right justified
