#1 Figure/Ground Reversal – Part 2
For this part, take your best solution to Part 1 and render it using the following
color theory concept:
Analogous color scheme
1. Go to the following web site and use the color sphere to experiment with various
Analogous color relationships until you find a scheme that will work with your
finished tile design:
2. Once you have experimented and found a few color schemes that seem to work,
do a screen capture of each (this will be explained in class). For the Mac, a Command>
Shift>4 keyboard combination will give you a crosshair that will save a preview to your
desktop. For the PC, there is a PrtScn on your keyboard that will do the trick.
3. Open your color screen captures in Photoshop and apply your color palettes to your
tile solution from Part 1. (This will also be explained in class).
4. Save your design solutions as you proceed.

complementary color scheme with a low saturation point.
