2. WEB BANNER ADVERTISEMENT...10 points

The design challenge for banner ads is to get users who come to a site for other reasons to give three to five seconds of their time and click to visit another site. The banner ad must be easy to absorb, simple and well designed. The message must be short, bold, engaging, novel, and communicative.

In this project you are to design a banner ad that advertises the launch of the Taylor Cellars web site that you completed in the first project. Two finished design sequences embedded in the web page provided in the download below.

Sequence 1 – Horizontal Banner:
Animation size= 468 px wide x 60 px tall @72 ppi
Sequence 2 – Vertical Banner:
Vertical Banner= 120 px wide x 240 px tall @72 ppi

Requirements:
• A rough storyboard with notes is required for the critique.
• The sequences must be based on the design you created for Project 1.
• Your banner may be purely typographic.
• No limits on the use of color.
• Please refer to project 1 video tutorial for instructions. I will explain in class as well.

Here is an example of a very simple 468 x 60 px standard horizontal banner gif sequence
I did for the company R3 Racing. It is used on 3rd party websites to promote
business and drive visitors to their web site.

Note:
It is suggested that you stay with the logo that you used for the web site design as it would look more consistent as a series in your portfolio.
