Project:
There are thousands of typefaces, some great and some really bad. One of the most important aspects in understanding the integration and selection of letterforms and type styles, is just looking at different typefaces.
The project is to create a series of caricature faces using only letterforms and bits and pieces of individual typefaces. See video below.
Objective:
To understand the changing character and dynamics of various typefaces and and their associated letterforms.
Requirements: 1. Create a minimum of 4 different caricatures. We will pick 1 for submission. 2. You may use any combination of existing typefaces 3. Your file size is 8 x 8 inches at 72 ppi saved as .jpg's. 4.You may use either Photoshop or Illustrator. 5. Use only black and white. No color.
Submission:
I will put together a Flash slide show of the finished caricatures and a video for online delivery.
